from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Ephesians 4:16 ESV

Scrolling through my Instagram feed, I saw this beautiful graphic from one of my dearest friends.

How TRUE is that image?

How WONDERFUL is that image?

How EASY is it to forget?

May you remember just how special and meaningful your life is.

May you rejoice in the gift of grace that God has given you,

KNOWING that you have immense purpose,

immense worth,

and are incomparably and inconceivably loved.

YOU are doing work for the Kingdom-for eternity-for God.

Meditate on His Word

Thank God For Your Church Family

I Thessalonians 1:2-4 says: “We always thank God for you all and always mention you in our prayers. For we remember before our God and Father how you put your faith into practice, how your love made you work so hard, and how your hope in the Lord Jesus Christ is firm. Our brother, we know that God loves and has chosen you to his own”.

In this passage Paul begins this letter to the persecuted church in Thessalonica. The warm greeting encouraged those believers and asked for God’s blessing on them. Paul loved that church.

Just as Paul thanked God for the Church family in Thessalonica, we should also thank God for Christ Presbyterian Church. Each member of God’s family is important to God’s kingdom and his church. When we think about our Church we say a silent prayer of thanks to God for your family.

As we think of our Church family we should thank God for the following as pray everyday for our Church:

  1. We should be thankful for our future Pastor- Continue praying for our search committee, to find God’s man for our Church
  2. We should be thankful for our Elders- Pray for them as they lead the Church during our Pastoral search.
  3. We should be thankful for our Deacons- Pray that God would help them as they serve the Church in their various ministries.
  4. We should be thankful for our Sunday School Teachers- Pray as God leads these teachers to bring us the word of God every week. No matter the age, God uses them to fulfill his purposes for our lives.
  5. Pray for those who do volunteer ministries- Greeters, Coffee Bar, Nursery, and others.
  6. Pray for the Music Ministry- Music is such an important part of our worship each Sunday.
  7. Pray for Youth Ministry- Pray for Alex, and others who help in the Youth Ministry.

Let me close with the following prayer: Father, thank you for my Church family. Help me encourage and love them faithfully everyday.
